The physicians at Kids First are all pediatricians.
Pediatricians graduate from undergraduate school
(college), then attend medical school for at least four
years before graduating. They must then complete further
training in a Pediatric residency program for three
years.
All of our doctors are board-certified by the
American Board of Pediatrics, and are Fellows of the
American Academy of Pediatrics.
Kids First physicians have privileges at both
Memorial and Candler hospitals, so they can admit
patients to both hospitals . Our physicians care for
Kids First patients who must be hospitalized; one of our
doctors sees the patient daily and directs the medical
care. Kids First doctors are involved with the teaching
of pediatric residents at Memorial Hospital. Our doctors
also see newborns at both Candler and Memorial
hospitals.
